IMS supply a comprehensive range of Insulating Fire Bricks (IFB) both European and Chinese – manufactured for use in applications from 1000 to 1850°C. Each Grade of brick is formulated to meet specific Thermal and Physical properties. IFBs are manufactured utilising exceptionally high purity clays and Alumina, up to the 32 grade IFB we use a burn out process to give a uniform pore size distribution to maximise the insulating properties. For the highest temperature ratings bubble alumina is used.

Typical applications:
- Primary hot face linings
- Back up insulation in kilns and furnaces
- Flue insulation
- Petro chemical Applications
- Hot blast stoves
Features:
- Good insulating properties
- Stong compressive strength
- Low heat storage
- High purity
- Tight dimensional tolerances
