Microporous Insulation uses nanoporous insulation where the pore size is smaller than air molecules. This gives the best insulation possible, which means microporous insulation allows the greatest temperature drop with the lowest mass of materials.
The material is available in different forms. Rigid forms include panel and boards, while flexible forms are slatted, quilted and blanket. All have very similar thermal conductivity, the method of installation and shape of the unit to be insulated usually determines which form is used.
